A visit to Madrid should include the World Heritage Cities of Aranjuez, Avila, Cuenca, Salamanca, Segovia and Toledo, which are nearby and connected by high speed trains.

Option 2: Valencia and Andalusia give you a combination of the modern cutting-edge city of Valencia with the unique culture and history of the Flamenco heritage, and both regions are connected by train. However, we recommend you take a road journey either by coach or self-drive. From Alicante, Granada is just a 4 to 5 hours'drive. If you are looking for a winter destination for your holiday, choose this option as both these regions are blessed with good sunshine throughout the year, making the winter climate mild.
